Today the Election Commission of India is going to announce the assembly elections. The commission will hold a press conference at 3 pm. It is likely that the dates of the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha election will also be announced. However, even before the announcement of the Election Commission, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray gave a big statement today, a new debate has been sparked in the politics of Maharashtra. In the meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA), Uddhav Thackeray said that ‘Mahavikas Aghadi workers have to rise above selfishness to protect the pride and honor of Maharashtra. Workers have to think only about our state.’ Apart from this, Uddhav further said that ‘Maharashtra assembly elections will be a battle to save the state’s self-respect.’ Apart from this, Uddhav Thackeray said in the meeting that ‘I will support any candidate announced by Congress and NCP (SP) as the chief ministerial face of MVA.’ So now the question is whether Uddhav will not be the CM face in the next election of Maharashtra? It may be mentioned that the Election Commission is likely to announce the assembly election program for the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly. In Maharashtra, the ruling Mahayuti currently has 218 seats and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi has 78 seats.
