Due to heavy snowfall in Kashmir, cold weather is gradually increasing in Gujarat and the bitter cold that Ahmedabadites were eagerly waiting for has now begun. In the last 24 hours, the mercury in Mount Abu has dropped to -3 degrees while the lowest temperature in the state has been recorded in Naliya of Kutch at 5 degrees. While on Tuesday, the lowest temperature of the season was recorded in Ahmedabad at 12 degrees. Apart from this, temperatures were recorded at 15 degrees below zero in 10 cities of Gujarat. In Ahmedabad, the city dwellers have started feeling the chilly cold since Monday and the temperature dropped to 12 degrees today. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature in Ahmedabad was 12 degrees and the maximum temperature was recorded at 29 degrees. After the end of November, the minimum temperature was recorded above 20 degrees in December as well and the city dwellers used to feel the heat and heat during the afternoon. But for the past two days, the atmosphere has been cool with cold winds and today the city dwellers felt the cold during the day. In Ahmedabad, the minimum temperature is likely to be around 14 degrees for the next 3 days till the 13th, while from the 14th to the 16th, the temperature is likely to be 15 degrees. On Tuesday, the lowest temperature in Gujarat was recorded in Naliya. The lowest temperature of the season was also recorded in Naliya today. Talking about other cities of Gujarat, the cold also increased in Vadodara and the lowest temperature was recorded on Tuesday at 10 degrees. Which is the lowest of this season. Apart from this, the minimum temperature was recorded in Amreli at 13, Bhavnagar at 15, Bhuj at 12, Dahod at 14, Deesa at 11, Gandhinagar at 14, Himantnagar at 13, Rajkot at 12, Surat at 15 degrees and Jamnagar-Dwarka at 16 degrees. While the maximum temperature in these cities has been around 26 to 29 degrees. A cold wave warning was also issued in Naliya along with cold winds. While in Ahmedabad, the temperature dropped from night to morning, leaving the citizens shivering in the cold.
Cold wave feared in Saurashtra-Kutch:
According to weather expert Ambalal Patel, due to the effect of Western Disturbance, the intensity of cold had decreased in Gujarat for the last few days, but currently there is a hint of cold. Severe cold may prevail in many areas of the state in the coming days. Apart from this, due to the location in the Bay of Bengal, there will be a change in the weather in some parts of South Gujarat and light rain showers. There is a possibility of a decrease in temperature in other coastal districts including Junagadh and the minimum temperature will decrease and it will feel cold. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has expressed the fear of a cold wave in Saurashtra-Kutch. The cold winds blowing in Saurashtra Kutch have increased the intensity of cold. There is a possibility of the temperature going down further in the coming time.
