In Ahmedabad, the number of accidents is continuously increasing, especially some cases where a minor is driving the vehicle in the accident have come to light. So the Ahmedabad Rural DEO has informed the schools through a circular that if the children coming to school are bringing vehicles against the rules, they should be stopped. A joint drive will be organized by the DEO along with the traffic police and RTO in the coming weeks. In which action will be taken against parents of children who bring vehicles against the rules. Ahmedabad rural DEO Kripa Jha said that according to the MV Act, children are not allowed to drive vehicles of more than 125 cc, yet students come to school with vehicles. Because of this, the safety of children, parents and the school is at risk, so we have issued a circular that if any student comes with unauthorized vehicles, the school principal must inform the parents. Next time we will drive with the help of RTO and traffic police. If any child is coming to school with a vehicle even after giving the notice, action will be taken against him. The DEO will conduct drives not only outside the school but also inside the school. If there are children’s vehicles in the school parking lot, they will be checked inside the school. Action will also be taken if it is known that the child is not caught driving but has brought the vehicle to school. The school has to inform all the children and parents about this within a week. After that surprise checking will be done by DEO in different schools along with RTO and Police.
