Kolkata Rape Murder Case: On August 9, the dead body of a female trainee doctor was found in the seminar room of the hospital. A CBI official said, ‘The accused has no remorse and has revealed every detail of the incident without hesitation. He seemed to have no remorse.’ A lot of obscene material was found on Roy’s mobile phone, which was seized by the Kolkata Police. The case was later handed over to the CBI on the orders of the Calcutta High Court. The CBI official said that both technical and scientific evidence conclusively proved that the accused was present at the crime scene. Quoting the hospital’s CCTV footage, the official said Roy was seen near the chest ward ward at 11 am on August 8.

All evidence against Sanjay Roy:

In the footage, Sanjay was seen entering the same building again at around 4 am on August 9. Many technical and scientific evidences confirm this. However, the official did not give any information about the DNA test. Officials also refused to comment on the allegations leveled in the case, saying it was not a case of gang-rape. CBI officials inspected Roy’s Bhawanipur residence and also spoke to his family members, neighbors and colleagues in the Kolkata police force. But by the time he came out of the hospital for the fourth and final time, he had raped and murdered a trainee doctor. But the matter goes further than this. Investigation revealed that Sanjay Roy went to the red light area near the hospital on the night of the incident and while returning from there, he molested a girl on the way. Even after the incident of rape and murder, he called a woman and misbehaved with her as well.
