Kathmandu Bus Accident: A bus carrying Indian passengers has fallen into Marsyangdi river in Abukhareni area of ​​Tanhun district of Nepal. Nepal Police has confirmed the incident. DSP Deepukmar Rai informed that the bus bearing number plate UP FT 7623 has plunged into the river and is now lying on the bank of the river.


After the accident, 14 dead bodies have been recovered and 16 passengers have been rescued safely in relief and rescue operations. This bus left for Kathmandu carrying Indian passengers staying at Majeri Resort in Pokhara. Indian passengers were traveling in the bus at the time of the accident.

The local police and rescue team immediately reached the spot and started relief work and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. According to the preliminary report, the reasons why the bus plunged into the river are being investigated. Considering the seriousness of the incident, the system has initiated all necessary measures and given priority to relief and rescue work.
