Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad handles around 270 flights every day. But even though flight operations on Wednesdays are less as compared to normal days, 64 flights departing from Ahmedabad airport were late yesterday on Wednesday. In which like last one week, the flight going to different sectors of the airlines was delayed the most. A SpiceJet Airlines flight to Dubai departs from the airport daily at 4:35 pm. Which is getting late every day for last one week. When this situation arose yesterday also. The flight was delayed and finally took off at 6.50 pm with 180 passengers on board. But after circling the sky for 40 minutes, it landed at Ahmedabad airport at 7:30 pm. Now passengers of SpiceJet Airlines book tickets in advance thinking that they will be late. Because, this situation of Spice Jet has become everyday. Flights to various sectors are getting delayed by at least half an hour to one hour. Due to which passengers are now choosing other airlines instead of Spice Jet Airlines. About 180 passengers were going to Dubai in the 4.35 pm flight to Dubai yesterday. who were repeatedly informed by the airlines’ ground staff that the flight would be delayed. But then the flight took off and landed again at Ahmedabad airport after 40 minutes and the reason given by the airlines was that the flight had to land back at Ahmedabad airport due to a technical fault in the aircraft. It is to be noted that Spice Jet airlines have very few aircraft. Due to which the flight of all sectors gets delayed. If there is any technical fault like this, the passengers get disturbed. Not only Spice Jet but flights of various airlines to various cities of the country and the world were delayed yesterday. In which various flights of Indigo Airlines from Ahmedabad to the domestic sector were delayed by one hour to three hours. In which flights to Chennai, Lucknow, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bangalore, Varanasi, Pune and Mumbai were delayed for more than two hours. Besides, the Akasa Airlines flight to Pune was also delayed by one and a half hours.

Passengers of Spiel Jet Airlines will suffer even today:
Today i.e. on August 22, the passengers of Spice Jet Airlines must suffer. Because, two flights of SpiceJet Airlines from Ahmedabad to Dubai and one flight to Delhi will be late than their scheduled time. A SpiceJet Airlines flight to Dubai departing from Ahmedabad airport at 9.55 am may be delayed by up to six hours till 3:40 pm. The flight may be delayed even further. If a flight is at 9.55 am and that too is an international flight, passengers have to reach the airport at least two hours before. Even though the airlines inform the passengers in advance that the flight is going to be delayed, some passengers have to stay at the airport for eight to nine hours when they reach the airport. Also another 4:35 pm flight of the airline from Ahmedabad to Dubai also takes 1 or 2 hours. The take off is likely to be delayed for more than 5 hours. But at present it cannot be said with certainty that this flight will take off at 5 o’clock. Also, the Ahmedabad to Delhi flight at 12:20 pm is also likely to be delayed by more than three hours and take off at 3:10 pm. Importantly, operations are being disrupted due to insufficient funds. Also, according to the information received from the sources, the salaries of their employees have not been paid for more than two months. Airlines’ passenger numbers have also drastically declined due to constant flight delays. So the airlines may be continuously running at a loss.
