Canada PM On Immigration Rules: Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau is now trying to please Canadians after Sikh to take over the chair. As a part of which, after the announcement of cutting the PR visa, it has now announced to tighten the immigration rules. The Government of Canada has changed its policy regarding immigrants for the next two years.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said, “We are going to reduce the number of immigrants coming to Canada over the next two years, this is a temporary decision, taken to stop our population growth and boost our economy.”

Corona’s policy fell heavily on Canada

During the Corona epidemic, countries around the world imposed restrictions on traveling and foreigners. However, Canada was the only country that allowed visa processing and entry for foreigners and tourists. Due to which the number of foreigners in Canada has increased many times. As a result the burden on its economy has increased. Trudeau said, now is the time to make an adjustment. Canada needs to stabilize its population. This step is necessary in the interest of Canadians.

Decision to stop population growth

Canada’s Immigration Minister Mark Miller has announced the 2025-2027 Immigration Level Plan. Immigration policy is essential to the economic success and growth of our country. According to the needs of our country, this plan will succeed in curbing population growth, so that development goals can be achieved.

Decrease in PR

Under the new immigration policy in Canada, only 3,95,000 people will be granted permanent residency in 2025. It will see a further decline in the coming years. The plan is to grant permanent residency to only 3,80,000 people in 2026 and then 3,65,000 in 2027. This makes it clear that Canada is now cutting back on giving PR.

Canada’s National Statistics Agency said the country’s population is projected to grow by 3.2 percent from 2023 to 2024, the largest annual increase since 1957. Now the population here has increased to 41 million. Immigrants from outside have contributed to this population growth. These measures by the Canadian government will make it difficult for immigrants to find jobs and settle in the country. Earlier, Prime Minister Trudeau said, “We’re going to reduce the number of temporary foreign workers in Canada. We’re introducing tougher rules for companies to prove why they can’t hire Canadian workers in the first place.”
