Jitiya Vrat festival is celebrated for 3 days all over the country especially in Bihar. Meanwhile, people take a dip in the Ganges with faith. But on Wednesday, incidents of drowning of around 50 people in different cities have come to light during Jitia Snan. In which more than 40 people have died. In Aurangabad alone, 10 people died while bathing in the lake. Apart from this, accidents have also occurred in Champaran, Saran, Siwan, Patna, Rohtas, Arwal, Kaimur. The Bihar government has taken notice of these accidents and ordered an inquiry. People have also been advised to take precautions.
8 children drowned in Aurangabad:
The accident took place in Ithat village of Barun city and Kusha village of Madanpur city. The bodies of 4 children each were found in the lake of Kusha village and Batane river passing through Unthat village. The deceased have been identified as Pankaj Kumar (8), Sonali Kumari (13), Neelam Kumari (12), Rakhi Kumari (12), Anku Kumari (15), Nisha Kumari (12), Chulbul Kumari (13), Lajo Kumari (15), Rashi is born as Kumari (18).
Shobha Kumari, 12-year-old daughter of village Sabdara Radhe Shyam Sah under Manjhi police station area of ​​Saran district died. Golu Kumar, 13-year-old son of Shravan Prasad Soni, died in Bharwalia village under Daudpur police station area. Shubham Yadav, son of Pakwalia Mukhiya Yadav of village under Hussainganj police station area of ​​Siwan district died. Shivnarayan Rai’s daughter Anjali Kumari died in Amanabad Halkoria Chak village under Bihta police station area of ​​Patna district. An 8-year-old child died due to drowning in a village under Dinara police station area of ​​Rohtas district. An 8-year-old girl drowned in the lake of Bakhtari Surya Mandir. Sohan Bind’s 10-year-old son Rohan Bind died in Tarhani village under Sonhan police station area of ​​Kaimur district.
