The Vadodara Municipal Corporation has recently invited offers from interested organizations for sports and cultural activities under Lalbagh, Fateganj, Harinagar and Amitnagar bridges. Currently, the work of building a wall has been started in some parts under Fateganj Bridge. If the experiment of Anand Pramod activities for children is successful here, it has been learned that such work will be done under other bridges as well. The corporation has built more than 20 bridges to solve the traffic problem in Vadodara. The corporation’s budget for the current year has also mentioned this in this regard and an expenditure of one crore has been estimated for it. Earlier, after the meeting of the corporation’s Town Planning Committee, a proposal in this regard was approved in the entire meeting. This was a proposal to develop the space under the bridge to remove dirt and pressure under the flyover bridge built in the city and start various types of activities there. The proposal that was approved in the town planning committee stated that many flyover bridges have been built in the city in the last few years. Due to the open space under these flyover bridges, illegal pressure has occurred in some places, while in some places, garbage and debris have accumulated. In addition to beggars, laborers, balloonists and two-household people, cattle also live under the overbridge built by the corporation. They constantly spread dirt. Despite being chased away repeatedly, they come back there. If recreational and sports activities are started under the bridge, cleanliness can be maintained and the look under the bridge can also change.
