The World Water Day celebration held at the Aquatic Gallery in Science City, Ahmedabad, was a significant event aimed at raising awareness about water conservation. Over four schools with participation of 450 students, from various districts participated in this program. The event focused on the critical role water plays in our lives and the urgent need to conserve it for future generations. The participants were introduced to the importance of water conservation, with special emphasis on glaciers as vital sources of fresh water. Experts and facilitators shared valuable information on how glaciers contribute to the global water supply, underlining the impact of their melting due to climate change. Additionally, the students actively participated in an Aqua-quiz, where they showcased their knowledge on water-related issues. The event concluded with participants receiving posters promoting water
conservation under the Mission Life initiative, which aims to inspire sustainable practices in everyday life. This celebration not only educated young minds on environmental issues but also encouraged them to take responsibility for protecting and conserving water. The program proved to be a successful step in raising awareness about the importance of water and the need for immediate action to safeguard this precious resource.
