News of a big ruckus has been received in Mansa, Punjab. Several policemen have been injured in a violent clash between farmers and police. The police lathi-charged the protesting farmers, and in response, the farmers also pelted stones at the police. Three police station chiefs and several policemen have been injured in the violent clash. While both the hands of an SHO have been broken. On the other hand, it has been reported that farmers have also been injured. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital.

Controversy over gas pipeline:
It is being said that a clash took place between the police and farmers in Lelevala village of Mansa. During this, many people including farmers and police officers were injured. Tension increased as the farmers took out a march from Mansa to Lelevala. Farmers have a disagreement with the government regarding the Gujarat Gas Pipeline Project. Police say that when the farmers got agitated, they had to resort to lathicharge. SHO Bhikhi has been seriously injured. He has suffered serious injuries in both his hands. Several police officers, including two other policemen, have been injured during the clash. The incident took place late at night. According to the police, the atmosphere at the scene is currently peaceful. Police are still deployed in the area. All the injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital. The health of the injured is improving. Congress’s Kisan Morcha National President Bajrang Punia says that the Haryana government is preventing farmers from going to Delhi.
