Preparations for the 148th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Police rehearsal from Lord Jagannath Temple

The Rath Yatra will start on the traditional route on June 27. At 4 am, the Mangala Aarti of the Lord will be held, in which Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be present. After that, the Lord will be placed in the chariot with the beat of drums and drums. At 7:30 am, the state Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will perform the Pahind ceremony and flag off the chariot.

Gujarat’s biggest Lord Jagannath’s 148th Rath Yatra is scheduled to start from Ahmedabad city area on Ashadhi B. Along with the enthusiasm of devotees and people, the police are also working hard to ensure that all these Rath Yatras complete smoothly. Today (June 24) a mega rehearsal of the police was held on the Rath Yatra road, in which high officials including the city police commissioner were present.

Regarding the Rath Yatra, the Chief Minister held a meeting with Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi, Home Secretary, Police Chief Vikas Sahay, Police Commissioner GS Malik. Security and arrangements were reviewed in this meeting.

Police have gone into action mode for the 146th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. A mega rehearsal was held today by the police to see how the entire arrangements will be made on the road on the day of the Rath Yatra. The police left for the Rath Yatra route from Lord Jagannath temple in Jamalpur at 7 am. From 7 am, police officers, police personnel and different forces had set out on the road on the designated route of Lord Jagannath as if it were a Rath Yatra.

The rehearsal, which started at 7 am, was completed at Nij Mandir. All the corners, pressures and different arrangements coming on the way were also inspected. Preparations were also inspected by the police by taking a hold at Bhagwan Na Mosal Saraspur.

The rehearsal was held under the chairmanship of Police Commissioner G.S. Malik, in which more than 50 vehicles joined the rehearsal, along with more than 20 thousand police personnel rehearsed on the route. More than 400 CCTVs have been arranged on the route of the Rath Yatra. Along with this, 150 more CCTVs will also be used. Special AI technology is also being used to prevent a stampede like Bengaluru.
