Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Odisha today, has made a statement for the first time regarding the Ganesh Puja controversy. Here, while addressing a rally in Bhubaneswar, he attacked the Congress over the Ganesh Puja controversy.

He said, “A few days ago, I participated in the Ganpati Puja, because of which the people of the Congress ecosystem are disturbed and agitated. Power hungry people are getting disturbed by Ganesh Puja. It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Modi participated in the Ganapati Puja ceremony at the residence of the Chief Justice of the country DY Chandrachud, after which there was a lot of discussion about his participation and the opposition took strong aim at him. He said, ‘The policy of divide and rule. The British working on the Ganesh festival were irritated. Even today, people who are trying to divide the Indian society, are irritated by Ganesh festival. Power-hungry people are getting disturbed by Ganesh Puja. The Prime Minister said, “The people of Congress and its eco-system are angry because I participated in the Ganesh Pujan program. Congress is in power in Karnataka and they have sinned there too. He put Lord Ganesha behind bars. The whole country is stunned after those pictures came out. We must not allow such heinous elements to advance, we still have a lot of progress to make.’
