Los Angeles Olympics 2028: India has suffered a major setback ahead of the Los Angeles Olympics-2028, as the Indian men’s flag football team will not be able to participate in the upcoming Flag Football World Championship. The tournament is scheduled to be held in Finland from August 27 to 30. The tournament is considered to be very important from an Olympic point of view. Media reports are saying that Team India could not get visas to participate in this tournament, due to which it will not be able to travel to Finland to play in this tournament. American Football Federation of India CEO Dr. Sandeep Chaudhary has also confirmed this. Flag football has been included in the Los Angeles Olympics 2028 for the first time. Recently this game has become very popular. The game is considered to be very good in terms of teamwork, strategy and skill. For this, teams from all over the world are trying to achieve the Olympic quota.
India suffered a setback for the second time in a row:
The Indian team participated in the 2021 World Championship. India is ranked 20th in this tournament held in Israel. In 2023, the Indian team could not qualify for this championship and this time the team has to stay out of the tournament due to visa related issues. American Football Federation of India CEO Sandeep Chaudhary said that this is not just a matter of visas. There were also other technical issues from the organizers, which we were not able to resolve in time. There were many technical glitches from our side as well. We don’t want to put the blame on anyone else. Everyone has tried to help us. Now the morale of the team is definitely low as we have worked hard not getting visas. We were practicing, but things were beyond our control. This was the first important tournament to prepare for the 2028 Olympics, where we could have showcased our talent.’
