Nitin Gadkari warns Punjab CM: From terrorist attacks to the seizure of large quantities of drugs, there are frequent incidents in Punjab. In this matter, the central and state governments are making many efforts, keeping vigilance, but this happens frequently. However, the Union Minister of Highways and Transport Nitin Gadkari has warned the Chief Minister of Punjab about another matter. Gadkari has written a letter warning the Chief Minister of Punjab. Gadkari has said that the law and order situation in the state is not good. The Union Minister has written this warning letter in view of the violent incidents taking place on state and national highways. It may be noted here that during the construction of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, violent incidents were witnessed at many places to stop the work. This expressway is being built from capital Delhi to Mata Vaishnodevi Katra. A part of it is also to be connected with Amritsar. Nitin Gadkari has expressed displeasure over the attack on engineers and contractors. In Ludhiana too, NHAI officials have threatened to harm the staff engaged in the project. Gadkari has given an open warning in the letter that the NHAI will cancel eight highway projects if the law and order situation in the state is not improved. Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway is witnessing heavy violence in Punjab. It is worth mentioning that the total cost of these eight projects is 14288 crore rupees.
