Main roads in Vastrapur have been closed by the traffic police following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program at GMDC next Monday. Motorists have been advised to use other routes instead. On the other hand, 12,000 police personnel, including top police officers, have been deputed in various areas of the city to maintain law and order following the program of Ganesh Visharan and Eid-e-Milad processions on September 17. While more than two thousand police staff will be deployed during the Prime Minister’s program.
In order to maintain law and order following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program at GMDC ground on September 16, Ahmedabad city police has closed several roads in and around Vastrapur from 10 am on Monday and announced other alternative routes for motorists. In which the road from NAFD Char Road to Doordarshan Cross Road and from there to Helmet Char Road will be closed. Apart from this, the road from Helmet Char Road to Andhajan Mandal on the right to Sanjeevni Hospital to NAFD Circle will also be closed for all vehicular traffic. While motorists have been urged to use other alternative roads. Apart from this, 12,000 police personnel will be deployed in the city as Ganesh Visharan and Eid-e-Milad procession will also be organized in the city on September 17. Besides, surveillance by drones, staff from the police command and control room have been assigned to monitor the city through CCTV.
