On the other hand, PM Modi released the genome sequencing data of 10,000 citizens on Thursday. He said that this will prove to be a milestone in the field of biotechnology research. In a video message at the Genomics Data Conference organized by the Department of Biotechnology, PM Modi said that he is happy that more than 20 research institutions of the country have played an important role in it. The data of this project, genome sequencing of 10,000 Indians, is now available in the India Biological Data Center. PM Modi said that he is confident that it will prove to be a milestone in the field of biotechnology research. More than 20 renowned research institutions like IITs, scientists, CSIR and Biotechnology Research and Innovation Center have played an important role in this discovery. Today, the country has taken a very historic step in the world of research. Five years ago, the Genome India project was approved. During this time, despite the challenges of Covid, our scientists have completed it with great effort. This database covers the extraordinary genetic landscape of the world.
