Prime Minister Modi has reached Singapore after Brunei. After almost six years, Prime Minister Modi is visiting Singapore. This visit of the Prime Minister is important for India’s ‘Act East Policy’. Meanwhile, he was also given a grand welcome outside the hotel by people of Indian origin. During his visit, the Prime Minister will meet the Prime Minister, President and business leaders of Singapore and discuss important issues.

Reception of Prime Minister Modi by people of Indian origin:
When Prime Minister Modi reached the hotel in Singapore, people of Indian origin gave him a grand welcome. Along with this, Indian women tied rakhi to him. Seeing the enthusiasm of the Indian people, PM Modi played the drum and also gave autographs to the people. Apart from this, people also raised slogans of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’.

Singapore is India’s largest trade partner among Asian countries and sixth largest in the world. This visit of Prime Minister is very important on the issue of trade and import. Singapore has been a major contributor to India’s imports. Singapore has an important role in the global semiconductor ecosystem. India also trades heavily with Singapore in this sector. During this visit, PM Modi may also raise regional issues like ‘South China Sea’ and Myanmar. In addition, he will meet with Singapore’s business leaders and CEOs of some major companies.
