With the end of the month of Shravan, the Ganesh festival is eagerly awaited. Ganesh Chaturthi is coming on September 7-Saturday and the Ganeshotsav will start with it. Of course, the sales of clay idols of Lord Ganesha are still relatively low due to the rainy weather. More than 900 pandals in Ahmedabad are yet to be decorated due to the rainy weather.
According to idol sellers at Gulbai Tekra, Isanpur, Saraspur, Hatkeswar, Lal Darwaza, only 40 percent of the idols have been sold so far due to the rainy weather for the past few days. At present most of the people are making advance booking only for home-society-office. We expect to see an increase in idol sales from tomorrow. Of course, people will come only on Friday to take the idol of Ganesha sitting in the big pandals. Ganesha will be seated in more than 900 pandals in different areas of Ahmedabad. As it is currently raining, the decoration work in the pandals has also been delayed. Meanwhile, astrologers said that, ‘Ganesha Chaturthi is the best time for setting up on September 7-Saturday 5:37 pm only. Because, till then, the fourth tithi will remain. Ganesh Parva will be celebrated for 10 days and Ganesh Visharan will be held on September 17. Apart from this, many people install Ganesha for 3, 5, 7 days as well.
