Bomb Threats To Indian Flights Continue: Airports and planes have been getting bomb threats in the country for a long time now. In the meantime, a bomb threat has been sent to the plane coming to Kandla from Mumbai. As soon as the incident was reported, the police team reached the Kandla airport and carried out intensive checking.
According to the information, there was a bomb threat in the plane coming from Mumbai to Kandla. Kandla airport informed the police about this. A police team reached the airport and conducted an intensive investigation. However, some planes on other routes also received bomb threats. It is to be noted that, for the last several days, there have been messages threatening the presence of bombs in flights across the country.
Government action on these threats
The central government has doubled the number of air marshals on flights on October 16. The Home Minister has sought a report from the Aviation Ministry on the threat of coercion. In addition, a meeting was held with CEOs of all airlines on October 9 to discuss countering the threat of coercion. Inconvenience to passengers and loss to airlines were also discussed. On October 19, the Center removed DGCA Chief Vikram Dev Dutt from the post and made him Secretary in the Ministry of Coal.
Three people were arrested
2 people were arrested from Mumbai and Kochi in connection with these raids. Apart from this, a minor was detained from Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh. Both had threatened the bomb in the Indigo flight. A passenger was detained on charges of making a bomb threat at Kerala’s Kochi airport.
