Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Naval Tata has passed away at the age of 86. He breathed his last around 11 pm on Wednesday. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai and was suffering from age-related ailments. His mortal remains are kept at the National Center for Performing Arts (NCPA) at Nariman Point. From here his final journey left for Worli Shamshan Ghat. The last rites will be held here with honours. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Mukesh Ambani and Kumar Mangalam Birla have paid their respects to Tata. First there was the news of being admitted to the ICU on October 17. However, he himself denied this and said that he was fine and had come to the hospital for a routine checkup.
