The BJP, which has cornered the Congress and other regional parties on the issue of nepotism, has given tickets to at least 8 people associated with the Congress in the Haryana assembly elections. These people are promoting dynastic politics. The BJP’s list of 67 candidates includes many names whose families are associated with politics. The BJP has given ticket to former Congress leader Vinod Sharma’s wife Shakti Rani Sharma in Haryana. Kartikey Sharma, son of Rajya Sabha MP Shakti Rani Sharma, has been made a candidate from the Kalka seat. Manmohan Bhadana, son of former MLA Kartar Singh Bhadana, has been given a ticket from the Samalkha seat. Bhadana was instrumental in the formation of the Indian National Lok Dal government in Haryana in 1999. The Bhadana faction that broke away from the Haryana Vikas Party supported Devi Lal’s son Om Prakash Chautala, after which the Indian National Lok Dal came to power. The state government was formed and Chautala was sitting on the chief minister’s chair. In 2012, Kartar Singh won the Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-election from Khatauli seat on an RLD ticket. Later, Kartar Singh Bhadana joined the BJP.
Even before the election, BJP replaced the ‘Congress-free’ with ‘Congress’, know how many family members got tickets?
