Ahmedabad Cyber Crime has busted a scam of illegally sending Dubai SIM cards from Vadodara and arrested two people from Vadodara and one from Bharuch. Police seized 55 SIM cards from a parcel seized from Shahibaug Foreign Post Office. It has been revealed that these SIM cards are being used to make online gaming calls in Dubai. Police have expressed the possibility of many big revelations in further investigation into this matter. A parcel from Vadodara arrived at the Foreign Post Office in Shahibaug, Ahmedabad. During the investigation, suspicious SIM cards were found. Informing the cyber crime officers about this, the police searched the parcel and found about 55 SIM cards hidden in carbon paper. The police came to know that this parcel was sent to a person named Surya at Single Business Tower Dubai from Vadsar village, Vadodara. An investigation was started to collect information about this parcel and on suspicion, Rahul Shah (Res. Anupamnagar, near Railway Colony, Danteshwar Vadodara), Kantibhai Baldaniya (Res. Indraprastha Society, Ankleshwar, Bharuch) and Ajay Bhalia (Res. Lavkushnagari Society, Vadsar, Vadodara) were arrested. During the inquiry, it was found that the gang running the online gaming scam in Dubai needed a large number of SIM cards for calling and Ajay Bhalia was running the scam of sending SIM cards. For this, when Rahul Shah issued a SIM card to a customer, he used to issue one SIM card through the biometric system. Which he used to give to the customer and one SIM card was issued offline using Aadhaar card and other documents and kept with him. In this way, he took a total of 55 SIM cards. Which he used to give to Kanti Badlaniya for Rs 300 per SIM card. Kanti Badlaniya used to give a SIM card to Ajay Bhalia for Rs 350 and Ajay Bhalia used to supply a SIM card to Dubai for Rs 450. It is possible that a large number of SIM cards have been sent to Dubai from this modus operandi. Based on this, the police have conducted further investigation.
