The Amazon region is facing a serious environmental crisis with river levels continuing to drop due to last year’s record drought and insufficient rainfall this season. According to scientists, the Amazon has suffered the worst drought in 121 years. In this regard, the Brazilian Geological Service (SGB) has issued a warning that all rivers in the Amazon basin are expected to drop below their levels.
