Cricket Board Director Jalal Yunus has resigned after the change of government in Bangladesh. The Women’s World Cup is scheduled to be held in Bangladesh from October 3. But after the recent violence in the country, the ICC has decided to give the hosting rights to another country. In the meantime, Jalal also resigned as the chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Operations. Jalal said that, considering the welfare of cricket, I have resigned from the Bangladesh Cricket Board. Jalal is the first member of the cricket board to resign from the Awami League government on August 5 due to student protests in Bangladesh. After which the opposition party and student union formed a new government in Bangladesh. Media reports are saying that after Chairman Jalal, Board President Nazmul Hasan may also resign. He recently said that he may even tender his resignation to support the government.
