Ahmedabad: In the last 24 hours, Meghraja has created a water bomb situation in many districts of the state. A rain depression has formed in the state due to which the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains for the next 3 days. Then the rain started in Ahmedabad from Monday and it is raining non-stop. Due to which the city dwellers are facing great difficulty. Low-lying communities have been flooded. Ahmedabad has been flooded with an average of 5 to 9 inches of rain. Roads and societies in the city have been flooded with water from Gothan. Today, the heavy rain since early morning has increased the concern of the townspeople. Naroda and Maninagar have received the highest rainfall of 13 inches in the last 24 hours. While 11 inches have been recorded in Usmanpura. Apart from this, many areas of the city have received an average of 5 to 9 inches of rain. While more than half an inch of rain has been recorded from six o’clock to eight o’clock this morning. After raining all night, 3 inches of rain has been recorded till 6 am. On the other hand, Meghraja has started batting in Chandkheda, Vaishnavdevi, Gota, Adalaj, Thalatej, Bhopal, New CG Road, Sabarmati areas of Ahmedabad since early morning. Flooding has started in the surrounding low-lying areas. Even today in Ahmedabad, it is raining slowly in some areas and heavy in some areas. Orange alert has been announced in Ahmedabad today with heavy rain forecast. The Municipal Corporation has advised not to venture out unnecessarily. Due to heavy rains in Gujarat, 22 state highways have been closed due to flooding everywhere. On the other hand, train services and air services have also been affected. Flights and trains are running late.
