Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has dismissed BJP’s agent Manata Lalansingh in the JDU and dismissed his loyalists from the state committee. Nitish has given a clear indication by dismissing 185 leaders that only those leaders who show loyalty to him will get positions in JDU. Nitish is believed to have hatched a plan to make gangster-cum-politician Prabhunath Singh’s son Randhir Singh vice-president and hire Lalan Singh as well. Apart from this, Nitish Kumar has decided to embarrass the BJP by raising the issues raised by Muslims in the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) formed for the amendment of the Waqf Bill. Lalan Singh aggressively argued in favor of the Wakf Board Bill when it was introduced in the Lok Sabha. Because of this, Nitish Kumar is angry. Since Minister Lalan Singh has a soft corner towards BJP in the Narendra Modi government, Nitish Kumar suspects that Lalan Singh is acting as an agent of BJP instead of acting as a leader of JDU. Nitish believes that Lalan Singh along with BJP wants to create an all-rounder in the JDU by creating a rebellion against him so that the BJP leader can be made the Chief Minister in Bihar in the future. The new Pradesh Samiti formed by Nitish Kumar has 10 Vice Presidents, 49 General Ministers, 46 Ministers, 9 Spokespersons and 1 Treasurer. Nitish formed a 260-member regional committee 15 months ago keeping the Lok Sabha elections in mind. Now suddenly Nitish has dissolved the old regional committee and formed a new committee of 115 members. He has dismissed 185 members from the old committee, repeated only 75 incumbents and given a chance to 40 new faces. Normally, the term of the Pradesh Samiti is 3 years, but Nitish seems to be in a mood to renew the Pradesh Samiti after one and a half years. Randhir Singh, who was made the vice president of the new Samiti by Nitish, joined the JDU after not getting a ticket from the RJD in the Lok Sabha elections. Nitish has dismissed 20 vice-presidents of the old committee. The old committee had 105 general ministers, most of them have been removed.
