Mumbai: Akshay Kumar, who has been giving flop after flop for the past few years, has again taken refuge in patriotism. He has decided to act in the remake of Nana Patekar and Rajkumar’s super hit film ‘Tiranga’. The film was originally produced by Mehul Kumar. He has sold the rights of the film to Narendra Hirawat. However, the ‘Tiranga’ title is still held by Mehul Kumar. Hence, even if the story of Akshay’s film will be the same, its name will not be ‘Tiranga’. According to Mehul Kumar in an interview, ‘Tiranga’ was an all-time memorable film. Remakes of such films should not be made. However, this is my opinion. Now people who have rights can make the right decisions. A few years ago, Akshay Kumar started doing so many films one after the other with patriotic themes that people started calling him the new Manoj Kumar of Bollywood.
