After the ten-day Ganotsav celebrated in the city of Vadodara, the cremation ceremony was performed at eight artificial lakes constructed by the Corporation. After the discharge ceremony was completed, the corporation carried out cleaning operations in the lake, and removed around 90 tonnes of garbage. It included 25 tons of flowers and flower garlands, asopalav leaves etc. Apart from this, 65 tons of waste was plastic, paper etc. The 25 tons of flower waste that has been extracted has been sent to the corporation for processing. Bio compost will be made from this waste. While 65 tons of plastic waste has been sent to Atladara Corporation’s plant. Here plastic waste is recycled, and plastic granules etc. are prepared from it. A total of 14,617 idols were immersed in eight artificial lakes prepared by the Corporation. The discharge continued till Wednesday morning. Cleanup teams were deployed by the corporation after the discharge was completed. Last year too, bio compost was made from the flower waste after the dissolution ceremony.
