The third match was defeated by 110 runs :
The third match of the series was played in Colombo on 7 August. Batting first in this match, Sri Lanka scored 248 runs in 50 overs and set a target of 249 runs for victory against Team India. Chasing a target of 249 runs, the entire Indian team was bowled out for just 138 runs in 26.1 overs. Once again the Indian batsmen were very disappointing. Rohit Sharma scored the most runs for the team. Rohit scored 35 runs.
