An officer of Abu Road Rikko Police Station said that the car going from Delhi to Ahmedabad was stopped at the Maval check post. The police used to carry away the cash while searching the car. The police did not give a satisfactory answer when asking the car driver and the persons accompanying him about the cash amount and did not provide any evidence of the cash amount of seven crores. The police took the car loaded with seven crores to Rikko police station and proceeded to count it. A machine was ordered from the bank to count this cash amount.

This amount was calculated to be 7.01 crores. Sanjay Rawal (resident Ravdapura, district, Mehsana) and Daud Sindhi (resident Gorath, district Mehsana) were detained while carrying cash in the car. They have inquired about where these people brought 7 crores from and to whom it was to be given.
