Another Gujarati has been killed in America. North Carolina resident Mainak Patel was shot dead by a minor while robbing his stores. Mainak Patel was the owner of Tobacco House at 2,580 Airport Road. Police arrested the accused, but his name has not been released as he is a minor.

Mainak Patel of Gujarati origin has a five-year-old daughter. His death has left the family in mourning. Mainak Patel was nicknamed Mike by locals due to his loud and talkative nature. Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Captain Mark McDaniel said, ‘Deputies received a 911 call from the Tobacco House store. When they reached the scene, Mainak Patel was hit by multiple bullets. He was immediately rushed to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and shifted to hospital from there, but he could not survive.’ McDaniel said, ‘The man can be seen running in the store parking lot in the security video. He was wearing a black shot, black hoodie, black ski mask and white Nike tennis shoes. A black handgun was found in his hand. At present, no other intention other than robbery is seen behind this murder.’
