Kadana, Kadana dam has been put on high alert with 100% filling due to water inflow from uparvas. The bank areas where water is released into the Mahi River have been asked to be alert. The Kadana Dam, which is a lifeline for the farmers of Gujarat, was put on high alert when it was filled up to 100 percent, and 7 gates of the dam were opened on Tuesday evening. Out of which 1 lakh cusecs of water was released into the Nahi river. A decision was taken to release water from Kadana Dam due to the increase in water revenue due to continuous release of water from Bajajsagar Dam in Rajasthan. Currently, Kadana Dam has reached its maximum level of 419 feet. Now the excess water is being released into the river. Due to the continuous rain falling in the area upstream of Kadana Dam including Bajaj Sagar Dam, 55000 cusecs of water was seen in Kadana Dam.
