Ever since the announcement of Team India for the Test series against Bangladesh, many questions have arisen in the minds of fans regarding many players. While many youngsters have been picked in the Test squad, there are 3 veterans of Team India who have been overlooked by the selectors. For almost last 2 years these three players have not got a chance to play for Team India. After which it seems that now the doors of the Indian team have been closed forever for these three players.Cheteshwar Pujara played his last Test match for India on 7 June 2023 against Australia. Pujara’s performance in this match was not so special. Team India veteran Cheteshwar Pujara is considered as the greatest player of Test cricket. Pujara scored 14 runs in the first innings and 27 runs in the second innings. After this he did not get a chance to play for Team India. Ajinkya Rahane has been out of the Indian team for a long time. Rahane played his last match on 20 July 2023. Rahane could score only 8 runs in the first innings of this match. While Rahane did not get a chance to bat in the second innings. Since then, Rahane has not got a chance to play for Team India. Mayank Agarwal is currently playing in Duleep Trophy 2024. Mayank’s flop show was seen in the very first match. Mayank played his last Test match for India on 12 March 2022. Mayank scored 4 in the first innings and 22 in the second innings while playing against Sri Lanka. Since then Mayank has been out of Team India.
