Vadodara: The city of Vadodara was lashed by heavy rain with wind this evening. Due to continuous heavy rain of one inch from five to six in the evening and three inches from six to eight in the evening, the city was flooded everywhere. People were stuck in traffic in the evening. The city dwellers remembered the heavy rains that fell on July 24. The city was drenched with four inches of rain in three hours. The weather was clear on Thursday morning and afternoon, but the weather changed in the evening and the effect of the thunderstorm was felt in Vadodara. After 4:30 in the evening, the clouds suddenly gathered and along with cold winds, it started raining slowly and then in torrents. Due to heavy rain for three hours, most of the highways of the city were flooded.
As Garnalu of the railway station was also closed, communication between the east and west areas was affected. Thousands of vehicle drivers were stuck due to traffic jam even on the overbridge. People were stuck on the road due to heavy rain during evening peak hours. According to the flood control department, it rained about one inch from 4 pm to 6 pm and 3 inches from 6 pm to 8 pm. Due to four inches of rain in a single day, near Muktanand Circle in Karelibagh was waterlogged as usual, besides this the traffic was also affected due to waterlogged roads including Raopur Road, Laharipura Gate, Dandiabazar, Gotri Road.
