
More than 1,200 people from different parts of Ahmedabad were trained in basic emergency response skills under a free public training programme conducted by the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Ahmedabad City Branch, as part of the ISA Social Outreach Initiative 2026.The training sessions were organised at multiple locations across the city and focused on helping the public respond to medical emergencies before ambulance or hospital care becomes available.The sessions were conducted for laypersons, including homemakers, senior citizens, drivers, students and office workers, using simple demonstrations and hands-on practice.
The programme was led by Dr. Vijay Sonavane along with faculty members Dr Shailendra Tripathi, Dr Himanshu Patel, Dr Tejas Soni, Dr Devendra Prajapati, Dr Carolin Kerketta and Dr Sejal Parmar.
