Set in the sacred lanes of the temple town of Hardoi, the story is backdropped to the extraordinary rise of Mahadev, an orphan who entered the powerful Bajpai household as a servant and emerged as one of the town’s most respected and wealthy men. His forbidden love for Vidya, his master’s daughter, cost her everything – her home, her name, and her inheritance.
