Mumbai: Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd., India’s trusted building materials company, has announced the launch of Nuvoco Concreto Tri Shield, a high-performance Ready-Mix Concrete engineered to enhance structural durability and longevity. Part of the flagship Nuvoco Concreto portfolio, Nuvoco Concreto Tri Shield is a three-in-one durability solution designed to protect structures across India from increasingly harsh environmental exposures.

The product is specifically developed to counter the adverse effects of high chloride levels in borewell water and coastal air, rapid carbonation driven by urban pollution and sulphate-rich soil and groundwater prevalent across several regions of India. These environmental factors are known to accelerate material degradation and compromise long-term structural durability.

Nuvoco Concreto Tri Shield delivers comprehensive durability protection through three integrated mechanisms. The Chloride Shield reduces chloride penetration by 50% compared to standard concrete, helping protect reinforcement steel from corrosion. The Carbonation Shield slows the rate of carbonation, maintaining steel passivity and achieving by 50% lower carbonation depth than standard concrete. Complementing this, the Sulphate Shield resists sulphate-induced expansion and cracking in foundations, basements, and soil-contact elements, delivering by 50% reduction in sulphate expansion versus standard concrete.
