On the occasion of World Quality Day, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) organized an informative awareness program at the Gujarat Council of Science City. More than 300 students from various schools enthusiastically participated in the event. Shri Sumit Sengar, Head of BIS Ahmedabad, introduced the children to the basic concepts of quality and explained in simple and clear language why quality products are essential in daily life. Students were also informed about ISI Mark, Hallmark, and other national standards—how they are developed, why they are important, and how they ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency in everyday usage. Through examples, the students were also made aware of how adherence to quality standards in industries and the manufacturing sector plays a crucial role in strengthening the nation’s economy and global reputation.
