Rahul Gandhi went to Surankot for the first time for election campaign. In Surankot, Shahnawaz Chaudhary is in the fray as the alliance candidate, while his main rival is BJP candidate Mushtaq Bukhari, so a tight contest is expected here. In this rally, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘You know that BJP and RSS people spread hatred wherever they go. They fight brother with brother. They only know how to spread hate. His politics is also a politics of hate. You must have seen that if a person hates he can be killed not by hate but only by love and that is why this is a battle of ideologies, on one side there are people who spread hate and on the other side there are people who open shops of love. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Manipur to Maharashtra, the message was that hate does not benefit anyone.
Addressing a rally in Surankot, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘You must have seen the earlier Narendra Modi, who had a 56-inch chest, it is clearly visible that the earlier Narendra Modi is no longer the Narendra Modi of today. Today, whatever the opposition wants to do, we get it done. They make laws, we oppose them, then they make new laws. Now their confidence is gone. We have broken the psychology of Narendra Modi. This is evident on his face. During the election he said that I am not biological at all, my direct connection is above, if I speak directly, India alliance is so much pressure that it has mentally broken Narendra Modi. We have defeated hate without being hated.’
