However, the Ahmedabad Crime Branch nabbed the seven accused before these ganja-drugs were delivered to the Vatwa GIDC. Ahmedabad Crime Branch officials, acting on a tip-off, raided a godown in GIDC Phase-IV, Vatwa and arrested seven people, including two prime accused, along with 200 kg of ganja worth Rs 42 lakh. The quantity of ganja was to be brought from Odisha’s Ganjam district and supplied from Ahmedabad to various cities of Gujarat. 1100 kg of ganja was brought from Odisha. Ahmedabad Crime Branch officials received information that 1100 kg of ganja worth crores of rupees in a truck from Ganjam district of Odisha was transported to Krish Industrial Park in GIDC Phase-4, Vatwa, Ahmedabad. The truck is being emptied by bringing it to the godown. On the basis of which, on Friday morning, under the leadership of police officers, the police formed separate teams and conducted a raid. In which seven people were picked up along with 200 kg of ganja being emptied from the truck. The names of the arrested accused in the preliminary investigation were Manigadan Muddaliar, Kumar Arun Pandey, Sanjay Shahu, Sushant Gowda, Ajay Tufan Swain, Laba Gowda and Sandeep Shahu.
