Mahakumbha of Bhadravi Poonam has already started at Ambaji, the symbol of devotion and power. The Maha Mela was inaugurated by Banaskantha Collector and Chairman of Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust on Thursday. At Ambaji, the fair was started by dragging the chariot for a short distance along with the sacred ceremony of Mataji’s chariot on the Danta road. As soon as the fair started, the bells echoed with the sound of Bol Mari Ambe Jai Jai Ambe. On the first day of the fair, about 1.95 lakh devotees gathered and the world was blessed to see Mother Amba.
Seva Camps Heave With Pedestrians:
Among the major fairs of Gujarat is the Maha Mela of Ambaji in Banaskantha district. The seven-day Mahamela held on the occasion of Bhadravi Poonam attracts lakhs of people. A confluence of devotion, power and worship, this fair is estimated to attract around 30 lakh devotees this year. The tradition of marching through the pouring rain and hilly areas with the music of Ma Amba is the specialty of this fair. Then this Maha Mela has already started from Thursday and the day of Bhadarwa Sud Nom. Banaskantha Collector and Chairman of Ambaji Devasthan Trust Mihir Patel started the Maha Mela of Ma Amba on Danta Road of Ambaji with Shastrak ceremony. Officials and social and political leaders were present on this occasion. The collector, while inaugurating the fair, prayed to Ma Amba for Nirvidhan’s prosperity. Various service camps have also been buzzing since the first day of the fair. At that time, the Collector visited Siddhem Seva Camp and inaugurated the Seva Camp. Also, the pedestrians were served food and wished for the fair.
Aravalli’s garlands come alive:
The roads connecting Ambaji pass through the Aravalli groves. Along with this, the pilgrimage Ambaji and Danta area are also located in the hilly area. As soon as the Mahamela of Bhadravi Poonam begins, the groves are lit up and come alive with the procession of pedestrians. Devotees are proceeding towards Ambaji by making a difficult trek over the hilly road with uphill and downhill. The fair of Bhadravi Poonam was started at 9:15 on Thursday morning. Several foot gangs had hoisted flags on Mataji’s peak since morning. Arrangements were also made for the devotees to get Prasad of Mohanthal.
