Rainy weather has once again set in Gujarat. Rain was recorded in 181 talukas in the state in the last 24 hours. Out of which 6.5 inches of rain has been recorded in Umarpada of Surat. Amreli’s Liliya received 3.5 inches of rain, Surat also received 3.5 inches of rain, Vadodara received 3.5 inches of rain and Navsari received 2.5 inches of rain. While 57 talukas of the state have received more than 1 inch of rain. According to the weather department forecast, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli are on red alert today (September 26). Orange alert has been given in Bhavnagar, Navsari and Dang. While Amreli, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat and Tapi are predicted to have heavy rain at scattered places with yellow alert. According to weather expert Ambalal Patel’s forecast, the system will be active from south Gujarat to Saurashtra besides Mumbai due to moisture from Bengal and Arabian Sea. Due to this system, there will be a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in parts of South Gujarat. Meanwhile, flood conditions may also occur in some parts. Apart from this, there will be chances of rain in Dahod, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Amreli, Bhavnagar and Banaskantha.
