Heavy rains lashed South Gujarat’s Tapi and Dang districts following the Met department’s forecast of heavy rain, causing rivers to run wild with up to 8 inches of rain in 10 hours. More than 350 people were rescued after water receded in many villages of Tapi district. In which two people trapped in the Valmiki river of Valod were rescued with the help of a helicopter. Purna and Ambika rivers of Navsari district again overflowed with heavy rains.

153 roads closed in South Gujarat:
In Tapi district, Monswari Amas brought heavy rain and thundershowers started early in the morning. In 10 hours ending at 4 pm, 8 inches of rain was recorded in Vyara, 8 inches in Songadh, 6.7 inches in Uchhal. Rivers flowing through Dolwan, Vyara and Valod talukas overflowed in the forest area of ​​Dang district, bordering Tapi district, with heavy rains. Houses were flooded in many villages. 101 roads of the district were closed. NDRF team rescued more than 350 people. Heavy rain started in Dang district from Monday morning. An average of 4.96 inches of rain was recorded in the district during the last 12 hours. In which 8.28 inches of rain has been recorded in Waghai and 5.88 inches in Subir. Heavy rains have caused rivers to overflow their banks. A total of 13 roads have been blocked due to falling trees and mudslides on the roads. The Ambika-Purna river has overflowed due to torrential rains in Ahwa-Dang and Saputara in the upper reaches of Navsari district. Because of this, the people of low-lying areas have been alerted. The 10 highest rainfall in the district was 6.6 inches in Vansda taluk. 10 laborers along with a truck were trapped in Ghodapur of Ambika river in Belimora. Who were evacuated safely. A total of 22 roads were closed in the district.

September 4: Red alert in Bharuch, Surat. Orange alert in Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.
September 5: Orange Alert in Banaskantha, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Kutch.
