That which is created is also dissolved. But the dissolution of someone close to the heart means that when the time of farewell comes, the heart of a person who seems to be emotionless from the outside becomes heavy, even tears start flowing from the eyes of some. One such hour is Ganesh Visharan. Today on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi, devotees across Gujarat including Ahmedabad will bid farewell to the Dundala God with a fond request of ‘Ganpati Bappa Moria, Agle Baras Tu Sukh Aana…’. According to astrologers, the best time for Ganesh Visharan today is between 9:35 AM to 2:10 PM and 8:20 PM to 9:45 PM. This time in Ahmedabad, the idol of Lord Ganesha was installed in more than 800 small and big pandals. More than 50 percent of these idols have been dissolved. While all the rest of the idols will be immersed today in public places as well as at home. Along with public immersion in around 700 societies in Ahmedabad, clay idols installed by more than 40 thousand people will also be immersed at home. From Ganesh Chaturthi to Anant Chaturdashi, in one’s home-society-office and in many public places, Dundala Dev has become a special guest. Police will be on stand-by from early morning till late night for settlement in Visaran. A grand procession of Ganesha will take place with DJ’s beats, Abeel Gulal, Nasik dhol and firecrackers.
