Vadodara: There was once again an uproar today against the decision not to admit students who passed the supplementary examination in the largest commerce faculty of MS University. Today, some students protested at the main building with the demand that the admission process should be started for the students of Vadodara. However, as the faculty dean was not present in the office, these students locked the main building and sat on dharna outside in the scorching heat. A student sitting on dharna became ill as she was not allowed to get admission in spite of having 100% marks. As a result, 108 ambulance was called and she was taken to a private hospital for treatment. According to the available details, the student was admitted to the hospital earlier for treatment for another reason and was recently discharged. But the students joined the sit-in as they were not getting admission in the commerce faculty even after passing class 12. Meanwhile, the Dean called the police to remove the students who refused to open the lock until the admission process was started. The police arrested three students including former FR Nikhil Solanki. They were handcuffed and put in a jeep and taken to the police station where they were released after being held for four hours. Former FR Nikhil Solanki, who started the agitation against the decision of not admitting the students who passed the 12th supplementary examination in the Faculty of Commerce, issued a public threat today. If the students are not admitted, I will blackmail the Dean of the Faculty. Against this, the Dean of the Faculty said that it is not possible to admit those who have passed the supplementary examination, because we do not have a place to seat the students and we do not have additional teachers to teach them.
