Germany Skilled Indian Professionals Visa: The opportunity to work in Germany has been increased for Indians who prefer to settle abroad and earn foreign currency. Germany has multiplied the number of visas it grants to skilled Indian professionals. With the aim of deepening professional and economic ties between the two countries, Germany has increased the visa limit for skilled Indian workers from 20,000 to 90,000 annually.

Addressing the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference, Prime Minister Modi announced, “We have drawn up a roadmap for a developed India over the next 25 years. I am happy that at this important time, the German Cabinet has presented the document ‘Focus on India.’ Therefore, it has been decided to increase the number of visas from 20,000 to 90,000.
Opportunity for Indian skilled workers

This new visa policy of Germany will provide an opportunity to the skilled manpower of India to work in Germany. Till now, it was allotting this visa to 20,000 people every year. Which will now give visas to 90,000 people. Indian professionals in various fields including information technology, engineering, healthcare and more will get an opportunity to work in Germany to overcome the labor shortage in Germany.

Labor shortage in Germany

Germany is currently facing a demographic shift with an aging population, which is causing labor shortages in various sectors. Germany aims to address this shortage by increasing the visa limit for skilled workers from India. It will recruit skilled Indian workers in sectors such as IT, engineering and healthcare, with the aim that its industries will continue to grow despite domestic challenges.

Emigration facility for Indian workers

The increase in visa allocation will ease the way for Indian professionals to Germany, potentially streamlining the immigration process and facilitating smooth migration. The development is also expected to improve bilateral relations between India and Germany, paving the way for future cooperation in education, research and vocational training.

Visa processing time also reduced

Recently, Germany has also reduced the visa processing time for Indians. Now Skilled Indian Professionals is giving visa in just 15 days. Apart from this, German language has also been made mandatory for Indians applying for blue card jobs. Now German language is not mandatory for visa application.
