This time, Meghraja has rained in Gujarat. Gujarat has received more than 100 percent rain so far. People faced hardship in many places due to heavy rains. Regarding this, Gujarat Kisan Congress Chairman Pal Ambalia has written a letter to the Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister by email. In which they have demanded immediate compensation for the loss of livestock due to heavy rains in the state and adequate compensation for the washout in the riverbank areas. Pal Ambalia has also demanded to declare green drought in 8 districts and 68 talukas. Demanded to declare green drought in Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar, Dwarka, Porbandar and Junagadh. Ambalia said that this year in Gujarat, 6 districts of Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar, Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh and 68 taluks have received rainfall ranging from 140 to 390 percent. On the other hand, 130 to 140 percent rainfall has been reported in 37 talukas. Which proves that green drought should be declared in Gujarat.

In a letter written to the Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister, Pal Ambalia has claimed that there has been damage to crops worth 10 thousand crores and has demanded an aid package for the damage. At the same time, Ambalia has demanded that a green drought should be declared in Gujarat, the crop loan of the current year should also be waived off to the farmers. Immediate provision of dry fodder, permanent solution to the problem of ghed area and creation of ghed development corporation, land erosion compensation should be provided when there is heavy loss in the fields along the banks of the river.

Chimki of Farmer Mahapanchayat :

In the letter, farmers should be given a financial package of at least 10,000 from state government funds apart from SDRF against crop losses and on 10 August 2020 when the Prime Minister closed the crop insurance scheme, 10-12 lakh farmers of Gujarat would get an estimated 450 crores for the year 2020-21. Paid more premium than If the premium of the farmers is not returned when the scheme is closed, then the premium along with interest has been demanded to be returned to the farmers. If this demand is not met, there is also a preparation to call the Farmer Maha Panchayat in the coming days.
