Children of the Educational Centre Run by Gujarat Kalyan Parishad Trust, Inspired by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Prepared Seed Balls

(Vandna Nilkanth Vasukiya) Viramgam : As part of a meaningful environmental conservation initiative, children from the educational centre for Nomadic and Denotified Tribe communities, operated in Viramgam by the Gujarat Kalyan Parishad Trust, Surendranagar, an organization inspired by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), launched a Green Initiative by preparing and dispersing more than 500 seed balls.

Under the guidance of Nilkanthbhai Vasukiya and Dilipbhai Mehta, the children of the educational centre prepared over 500 seed balls. On Sunday, the children themselves scattered these seed balls along roadsides and at locations suitable for tree growth.

During the activity, the children were educated about the importance of trees in protecting the environment and were also taught the process of making seed balls. A few days earlier, the children had collected neem fruits (nimbolis), which were later used to prepare the seed balls.

It is worth noting that once the seed balls receive rainwater, the clay covering will gradually dissolve, allowing the seeds to germinate and grow into saplings. The initiative also helped instill a sense of love, care, and responsibility for plants and nature among the young children.

Within just a few minutes, the children dispersed more than 500 seed balls, making a valuable contribution toward creating a greener environment. The joy and sense of accomplishment visible on their faces after completing the activity served as an inspiration to everyone present.
