Ahmedabad:Marking the historic 78th Chartered Accountants Day, the Ahmedabad Branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated the glorious journey of the profession with high enthusiasm today. Established on July 1, 1949, by an Act of Parliament, ICAI stands today as one of the world’s premier professional bodies. To commemorate this landmark day, foster health awareness among professionals, and strengthen the spirit of nation-building, a grand ‘Walkathon’ was organized early in the morning, followed by a ceremonial CA Flag Hoisting.

The celebrations kicked off at 6:00 AM with a vibrant Walkathon along Ahmedabad’s iconic Sabarmati Riverfront. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of Chartered Accountants, aspiring CA students, and prominent citizens. Promoting the vital message of fitness and a healthy lifestyle among corporate professionals, the walkathon emerged as a major highlight of the morning.

Following the walkathon, a solemn CA Flag Hoisting ceremony was held at 9:00 AM at the branch premises. Gathering with immense professional pride, the members saluted the CA Flag, acknowledging the invaluable role the profession plays in driving the nation’s economic engine and financial growth.

CA Rinkesh Shah, Chairman of ICAI Ahmedabad, extended his warm wishes to all members on CA Day and said, “Chartered Accountants have always been the true backbone of our nation’s financial and economic development.
